The calculators are estimates

Results are estimates for planning and ordering material. They depend on the dimensions you enter and on published typical values for materials that vary in practice — a supplier's asphalt mix, the moisture in a load of topsoil, the actual dimensions of the block you bought.

Check the result against your supplier's figures and your own measurements before you place an order. We are not liable for material ordered short or in excess, or for costs arising from a result you relied on.

Not engineering advice

Nothing here is structural, engineering or safety advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship. Retaining walls above a modest height, reinforced slabs, and anything supporting a structure require a design by a qualified professional and compliance with your local building code. Where a calculator touches that boundary, the page says so.

Use of the site

You may use the calculators freely, including for commercial work. You may not scrape the site at a volume that degrades it for others, republish its content as your own, or present its results as coming from someone else.

The site is provided as is, without warranty, and may be changed or taken down at any time.
